Bison 4-5 (OT) Phantoms Game Report:
Bison made a dream start as Sota Isogai released Mac Howlett, who raced through and fired into the top corner after just 34 seconds.
The hosts continued to create the better opportunities throughout the opening period, but Peterborough found a late equaliser through Ewan Hill with just 3.3 seconds remaining to make it 1-1 at the first break.
Basingstoke came out strongly again in the second period. After Brendan Sellan had struck the pipework, Charles Farmer found Isogai, who fired home on the powerplay at 26:49.
Dillon Lawrence quickly responded for the Phantoms, but the Herd soon regained control.
Farmer found Howlett on the right before he picked out Sellan, who finished well to put Bison back ahead.
The advantage was doubled with 76 seconds remaining in the period. Sellan intercepted the puck before finding Farmer alone at the back post, who made no mistake to give the Herd a 4-2 lead heading into the final period.
Peterborough responded early in the third through Adam Berg before Luke Ferrara levelled the contest at 52:24.
Bison came incredibly close to finding the winner late on. Isogai was denied on a breakaway, while Adam Harding struck the crossbar and Sellan hit the post as the Herd pushed for a fifth.
The game eventually headed to overtime, guaranteeing Basingstoke another point on home ice.
Despite the Herd beginning overtime on the powerplay, Peterborough found the decisive goal through Dominik Gabaj just 36 seconds into the extra period to secure the 5-4 victory.
Sellan was named Bison’s Man of the Match after another impressive performance in front of 1,307 supporters which was the biggest crowd at The Barn so far this season.
Seahawks 6-2 Bison Game Report:
The Bison were back in action less than 24 hours later with a difficult road trip to face the Hull Seahawks.

The Seahawks extended their advantage early in the second through Bobby Chamberlain, who later added his second of the night to make it 4-0.
Bison continued to battle and were rewarded before the second break. Charlie Risk moved the puck to Sellan, who found Harding in front of goal to get the Herd on the board.
The night also provided a memorable moment for Ethan James, who came into the game during the second period to make his Bison league debut.
Hull added two further goals in the third through Patrick Brown and Jack Musil, before Harding grabbed his second of the evening with just nine seconds remaining, redirecting Stuart Mogg’s shot into the roof of the net to complete the 6-2 scoreline.
Sellan was once again named Bison’s Man of the Match.
