Hello Bison fans,

This week hockey returns to its regular Saturday night spot.

Leeds Knights are the visitors to the Basingstoke Arena for a National League game.

The teams met each other last weekend at the Castle, when the Bison won a real nail biter 3-2 with an overtime goal from Brendan Sellan.

Leeds currently sit 8th in the league standings, with the Bison 2 places and 3 points ahead.

Among their roster will be a familiar face to long-standing Bison fans, namely Zach ‘Sully’ Sullivan.

Zach made 108 appearances for the Herd between 2012 and 2014.

He was part of the team that won the 2013/14 Play-Offs in Coventry. No doubt he will receive a warm welcome from the Bison family.

Home games this season have seen crowds consistently close to capacity.

Saturday's game is already looking to be another busy night, understandably with a high quality thriller in prospect, the advice is, if you haven’t already secured your place, don’t delay in purchasing your ticket.

The Barn has been absolutely rocking on game nights, the Wall of Sound has been in outstanding form all season, helping create the kind of atmosphere which makes for a cracking night of hockey.

Ones to watch:

Basingstoke Bison: Mac Howlett (17)

Mac has been in sensational form since joining us from MK Lightning in the summer.
In 8 league appearances, he has netted 5 goals, including 2 absolute stunners against Hull and Peterborough, plus 8 assists, giving him a total of 13 points, making Mac our leading points scorer.

Leeds Knights: Kieran Brown (12)

The Leeds Knights captain, Brown is in his 6th season as a Knight, and is approaching a significant landmark of 300 appearances for the club.

In the 2025/26 season, he was selected to make his GB debut at the World Championships in Romania.

8 NIHL games this season have produced 2 goals and 8 assists, those 10 points make him the Knights leading scorer.
