It was quite the weekend for 16 year old net minder Oscar Minton, who gained immediate hero status with fans of the Herd, when he replaced the injured Max Wright late in the 2nd period against Hull Seahawks and produced some outstanding saves.

The following day in Sheffield, Oscar impressed again, with a performance accurately summed up by this quote from Steeldogs supporter……….

“The lad made 6 or 7 great saves against the dogs. He never let his head go down. He’s a credit to himself and the team”
