BISON SIGN CANADIAN FORWARD BRENDAN SELLAN FOR 2025/26 SEASON
The Basingstoke Bison are delighted to announce the signing of Canadian forward Brendan Sellan as the final import addition to their roster for the 2025/26 NIHL National season.
Brendan Sellan is a talented left winger from Bolton, Ontario, born on January 23, 2001. Standing at 5'10" and weighing 170 lbs, Sellan shoots left and brings a combination of speed, tenacity, and leadership to the ice. Known for his steady development and strong character, he spent his junior career in the GTHL with the Vaughan Kings and Mississauga Rebels before progressing to the OHL with the Erie Otters. Over four seasons with the Otters, he earned the captaincy in 2021–22, when he posted a career-high 40 points.
After his junior career, Sellan transitioned to U Sports hockey, representing Acadia University over the past three seasons. His consistency and work ethic made him a key contributor throughout his time with the Axemen.
Bison Head Coach Jeff Flanagan is delighted with the signing and said “Brendan is a skilled forward that plays a 200’ game. He competes every shift and brings great qualities both on and off the ice. His development path speaks volumes about his work ethic and character, and I’m confident he’ll be a great fit for our group in Basingstoke.”
Sellan, who will be making his first professional move to Europe, is excited to bring his game to the NIHL and contribute to the Bison's ambitions: “Im really excited to have the chance to play in front of the best fans in the league and be a Bison. Looking forward to seeing everyone soon!”
With the addition of Sellan, the Basingstoke Bison complete their import signings and are one step closer to hitting the ice this September.
