The Basingstoke Bison are on the lookout for an enthusiastic and passionate Match Night DJ to help create an unforgettable atmosphere at every home game.


Our match nights aren’t just about the hockey, they're about bringing together families, loyal supporters and first-time fans for an evening of exciting entertainment. As the match night announcer, you will play a huge part in creating the electric atmosphere that makes Planet Ice Basingstoke such a special place to watch hockey.


As our Match Night DJ, you'll be responsible for:


·      Playing crowd-favourite songs that hockey fans know and love


·      Building excitement before face-off and throughout the game


·      Hyping the crowd at key moments to get behind the players


·      Playing goal songs, celebration music and entertainment during breaks in play


·      Making clear and professional announcements, including goals, assists, penalties and other important match information


·      Working alongside the match night team to ensure the game presentation runs smoothly


 


We're searching for someone who is:


·      Confident and comfortable speaking in front of large crowds


·      Energetic with a passion for creating an exciting atmosphere


·      Reliable and committed to attending home fixtures throughout the season


·      Organised, with the ability to manage music, announcements and timing during a fast-paced game


·      A great communicator who can engage with supporters of all ages


·      Knowledgeable, or willing to learn about ice hockey, including understanding penalties, goals and stoppages in play


·      Calm under pressure, able to react quickly as the game unfolds


·      Creative, with a good sense of what music gets fans on their feet


·      A team player, working closely with officials, volunteers and the game presentation crew
